Guys, if you need something to fill that Fringe-shaped hole in your hearts, consider giving Orphan Black a try. There’s a kick-ass female lead, there’s an interesting mystery, there’s action and drama and much more. And oh, the lead actress plays multiple versions of her character and is incredible. It’s a really fantastic show, and more people should watch it.

Ever since this happened I’ve been dreaming about Fringe/Star Trek crossovers, to the point of assigning Fringe characters to Starfleet positions. And then I was like WELL WHY NOT JUST PHOTOSHOP IT because I don’t have boundaries. The positions are a little murky because of the constraints of finding screencaps that fit together (which is also why I didn’t include everybody, SORRY), but here are the vague assignments:

Broyles is captain (and a Vulcan)

Olivia is first officer

Atlivia is chief of security, and ideally Lincoln and Charlie would be security with her because having the uniform colors correspond with Blueverse/Redverse/Amberverse is half the fun.

Astrid is a science officer (technically she might be more suited to communications officer since I feel like a lot of what she does on Fringe is communications/translation type stuff, but I didn’t have anybody else in blue sooooo)

Alt-Astrid is helmsman

Peter is chief engineer

Walter is chief science officer

Lincoln is navigator/tactical officer

William Bell is already Spock so whatever

Nina is probably some Starfleet higher-up or captain of a rival ship idk

Don’t talk to me about confusion arising from having multiple versions of the same person on the bridge, THEY’RE WEARING DIFFERENT COLORS IT’S FINE

I wanna take a moment and explain why I love this scene so much since I have a feeling that the next couple of days will be all about the birthing scene - which I loved and thought was beautifully acted - but I’ve always been a fan of subtle character moments and subtle acting and this scene has both. It actually reminds me of when Olivia finds out about Peter and AltLiv and it doesn’t matter what she’s saying at that moment because her eyes and expressions tell you all you need to know about her pain, this scene is my Lincoln version :D He is still inquiring about the mission and being professional but his eyes and expressions tell me all I need to know about the confusion and pain he is feeling. It is so beautifully done. He is just learning that Olivia was on a mission, he spent weeks working with another Olivia, that his Olivia was pregnant from Peter, that she had a relationship with him and his heart is breaking into million pieces but he can not admit to any of those things because to anyone else what right does he have to be hurt, to feel heart broken, to feel confused and he can not voice any of those things and he just stands there trying to learn more in the most professional manner possible but inside he just wants to cry because it was not some random guy she met in a bar, it was Peter, a guy she had a relationship with that was the father of her baby and he feels like he’s lost all chance with her once again. In short, I love the scene :D As always feel free to delete my ramblings if you wish if you want to just reblog the graphic :D

It’s such a beautiful moment. There’s also the hurt in the realization that he spent all those weeks loving an impostor. And the fact Charlie questioned it and he didn’t…

Love the scene, love the comments about it too because it is a powerful scene there.

All of this. I’ve said before, and it’s true: that swallow was the moment I needed to started writing Fringe.
